What
can I do if my kneading blade
is coming off in the bread?
This is a common problem
that is easily fixed. When
the bread is still hot and
just out of the bread maker
use a hook (such as a crochet
hook) and put it inside the
bottom end of the bread maker's
blade. Once you have the blade
caught on the crochet's end,
slide it gently out of the
bread. This usually will not
tear apart the dough, although
it may happen sometimes. When
it does, don't worry. It will
not affect the taste of the
bread.
My
bread maker is hesitating
during the kneading cycle.
Is this a problem?
Yes! You want to remedy this
immediately! Chances are your
bread is too tough and you
must add more liquid to your
dough. However, if you have
performed the dough
consistency test and it
is fine, your belt may be
slipping. Have a technician
take a look at it. In your
manual
there should be a toll-free
number to call for service
in your area or go to our
Bread
Machine Manufactures page.
How
does a bread machine work?
Bread machines are essential
motors connected to a drive
shaft, which moves a kneading
blade inside a bread pan.
A thermostat regulates the
temperature inside the machine
for rising and baking while
a microchip contains programs
for the various cycles that
the individual bread machine
performs.
What
should I use to clean my bread
pan?
To clean the bread pan you
should use approximately a
¼ cup of any kind of
vinegar and fill the pan with
boiling water. Allow this
solution to sit until cooled.
You should not use soap or
detergent as this can cause
a residue to build up causing
your bread to stick to the
sides of the pan.
My
bread machine won’t
make several loaves in succession.
Is there something I can do?
It is suggested that you
wait approximately 20 minutes
for your bread machine to
cool down. However, if you
are in a rush, there are a
few methods you can try. A
fan directed at the bread
machine can help circulate
the hot air out. Also, you
may want to try putting some
cold soda cans in the machine
without the pan to cool the
bread machine down. However,
the best solution is still
patience.
