Types
of Bread Pans
There are as many types of bread
pans as there are types of breads. In fact,
when you’re baking bread pans often determine
the kind of bread you come up with. There are
also bread pans for different types of bread
baking, including bread pans for ovens, bread
pans for microwave and bread pans for bread
makers. Check out the follow list of types of
bread pans to decide which bread pans is right
for you.
• Standard Loaf: These produce
standard loaves of bread (no irony involved
in naming this sucker), and resemble a topless
rectangular box.
• French Bread Pans: To bake
French Bread or Italian Bread use these specially
shaped pans than are essentially perforated
half-cylinders.
• Brioche/Muffin Pans: This
is simply a series of slightly conical cups
set into a raised, rimmed baking sheet.
• Popover Pan: Usually these
are for the muffin-like treats of the same name,
and don’t differ significantly from a Muffin
Pan.
• Canapé Tubes: It takes some
getting used to, using these open-ended cylinders,
but when you do…tasty canapés!
• Mini/Giant Bread Pans: This
just refers to the size of bread or bread-like
item produced, but we though you’d like to know
that Giant Muffins are an option.
