
Cheese bread
Popular all over the world, cheese bread is a type of basic bread, which is flavored with Cheddar cheese, although there are many variations of the traditional recipe, including jalapeño cheese, Gouda cheese and many others.
This bread is prepared using a simple bread recipe, but adding grated or shredded cheese into the dough, and sometimes using some of the cheese to top the dough. However, there are as many ways to prepare cheese bread as there are regions in the world, since each of them have their own version, including varieties with garlic, onion or other condiments.
Cheese Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup white sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
- Preheat oven to 400º F (200ºC).
- Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cheese.
- Apart, beat together milk, egg and oil.
- Stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until moistened.
- Pour into a grease 9x5" loaf pan.
- Bake for 35 minutes approximately.
