
Lemon Bread
Lemon bread is one of the traditional breakfast recipes, although, people can taste this bread at any hour of the day, often served with tea, or as a sweet dessert.
You can easily prepare this bread at home, and keep it fresh covered with foil in the lower part of your refrigerator.
Lemon Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup flour, sifted once
1-cup sugar
1/3 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup nuts, chopped fine
1-teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 rind of a lemon, grated
Glaze:
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
3 teaspoons lemon juice
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Put the mixture in greased loaf pan.
- Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350ºF.
- Remove from the oven.
- While bread is still hot, glaze the top mixing the sugar with lemon juice.
