Freezing bread from a bread maker
Bread bakers are very easy to use and usually come with loads of recipes and a comprehensible manual that teaches how to operate your device, often encouraging you to bake as many breads as you want, for your convenience.
While it is true that baking your bread for a whole week can save time in the kitchen throughout the week, the problem that most people face is keeping the bread fresh.
Because bread makers come with settings for basic, rapid, French, wheat, sweet, quick bread, dough and bake only, you can bake once a week a diversity of bread to satisfy all the family tastes and then freeze them all.
Some useful tips to freezing bread include
- Wrap each piece of bread individually in foil and place it directly in the freezer
- Use plastic bags instead, trying to take out all the air inside the bag before you put the bread in it
- Label your wrapping or bags with the date when the bread is being frozen
Keeping date indicators allow you to take out the older pack for consumption to avoid it getting hard by exceeding it’s freezing time, which is about one year.
