Selecting a Roaster
The covered roaster is
like the slow cooker’s higher-maintenance
cousin. Oven roasters work on a similar
principle to the slow cooker, and are
compromised of a lid and a pan (they’re
also called pan roasters), but they have
no heat source of their own and require
an oven. When selecting a roaster look
for the following.
· Non-stick Covering:
Unless you enjoy scrubbing.
· Stainless Steel: Durable
and easy to clean.
· Dimpled Roaster Lid:
Facilitates cooking.
· Meat Rack Roaster: Supports
meat for even cooking.
· Rectangular or Vertical
Roaster: The 1st is just a pan and the
2nd is for chicken.
· Capacity: Length, Width
& Depth, e.g. 16x12x4.
